Curatorial Remarks

1. (L.A. Cort, 13 June 1995) "Sukhothai province, Si Satchanalai" added to attribution.

2. (Louise Cort, 6 January 2007) Changed Date from 13th–15th century to 15th–16th century.

3. (Louise Cort, 3 November 2011) Pariwat Thammapreechakorn has made a careful study of many hundreds of these small figurines. He feels that they were made as toys, not as objects for religious use. He also feels that their production was confined to the Pa Yang kilns in the sixteenth century.

Changed Date from 15th-16th century to 16th century. To Origin added Pa Yang kilns.

4. (Najiba Choudhury, 10/28/2014) Transferred from the Provenance text field: "Purchased by the donor at a shop in Sukhothai, Thailand, in 1964."
