Curatorial Remarks

1. (Victor Hauge, November 1996) Lime pot, light-glazed with adhered lid.

2. (Louise Cort, 9 June 1999) Two small green-glazed jars (heights 2.8 cm and 3.2 cm) with thickened horizontal rims that appear to be similar to that of this vessel are dated second half of 11th–beginning of 12th century, and said to come from Northeast Thailand (Brown 1988, pl. 29-d).

3. (Louise Cort, 11 June 1999) A small pedestal-foot green-glazed vessel with a plain, thin rim, excavated from a Ban Kruat kiln site, which may show the original form of the mouth of this vessel, is illustrated in Suphat and Sirikun 1989, 70.

4. (Louise Cort, 16 October 2007) Changed Title from Lime pot with lid to Lime pot with attached rim (pastiche).

5. (Louise Cort, 16 January 2017) Changed Date from 11th-13th century to 1075-1250, following Desbat's revised chronology based on excavations in the Angkor area over the past two decades (Desbat 2011, 26). Evidence for green-glazed Buriram-type bowls (distinguished by the formation of the base) at Angkor-area sites begins in the late 12th century but may date to the beginning of the 12th century, coinciding with the end of production of green-glazed "Kulen" wares in the Angkor area (Desbat 2011, 15-16).
