Description

Jarlet of flattened globular form with rounded mouthrim and flat base.
Clay: beige stoneware.
Glaze: copper green, low gloss, crazed.
Decoration: none.

Curatorial Remarks

1. (Louise Cort, 17 July 2002). With copper-green glaze, made at a kiln in the Red River delta kiln complex in northern Vietnam.

2. (Candy Chan, Research Assistant, May 23, 2003) Jarlets of this type were in the  Museum Pusat Jakarta collection. They were found in Botonompo, Ujung Pandang, South Sulawesi (Lammers and Ridho 1974, 19).
