Curatorial Remarks

1. (Louise Cort, 12 February 2008) The incised grooves around the shoulder and the dark clay body with white inclusions related this little bottle to the larger bottles S2004.213–223. Central Vietnam is the likely source, therefore.

Changed Origin from Central or Northern Vietnam? to Central Vietnam.

2. (Louise Cort, 29 May 2008) Don Hein, in Washington to present the Pope Memorial Lecture, commented that this was made with clay unfamiliar to him. He noted that the base was not trimmed.
