Curatorial Remarks

1. (Louise Cort, 19 May 2004) Fired inside something else, as indicated by the change in coloration outside.

2. (Louise Cort, 20 January 2006) The white inclusions in the clay body, which appear to be shell or small stone fragments, suggest a source in Central or Southern Vietnam, rather than Thailand.

3. (Louise Cort, 11 July 2006) In Origin, changed Central Vietnam? to Central or Southern Vietnam.

4. (Louise Cort, 12 July 2006) This vessel was thrown and trimmed on the wheel. The clay body appears to contain shell temper. Dr. Luu Hung, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, Hanoi, has seen this form, but not this color, among pots made in Vietnam.
