Curatorial Remarks

1. (Louise Cort, 30 July 2002). Lampang (Thailand).

2. (Louise Cort, 13 October 2005) Comments from Morimoto Asako, archaeologist specializing in Vietnamese and Chinese ceramics recovered from Hakata [Fukuoka], Short-term Visitor to study the Hauge collection:

Compare S2005.213—from the same kiln, with the same "pattern" of vertically-oriented closely-spaced arcs on the walls. The base was trimmed after the glaze was applied. Was the vertical "combing" on the walls also intended to control the flow of a runny iron glaze?
