Deep bowl of slightly warped shape with flared rim and carved footring. Two repairs on rim, five spur scars from kiln stacking disc on interior bottom.
Clay: medium grey stoneware with white impurities; coarse and grainy.
Glaze: clear, glossy, transparent; marred by pinholes and blisters from trapped air bubbles; foot and base unglazed.
Decoration: decorated in underglaze iron pigment over white slip; three bands of "starburst" or "pikun blossom" motifs bordered by horizontal lines on interior, two bands of the same design on exterior.
